An interesting event in Jewish scholarly circles will be the presentation of four lectures prepared by Judge Sulzberger on “The Status of Labor in Ancient Israel” before the Dropsie College.
Judge Sulzberger has been for quite a number of years engaged in researches into the political and legal institutions of ancient Israel. These studies have resulted in such publications as “The Am Ha-Aretz: The Ancient Hebrew Parliament”, “The policy of the Ancient Hebrews”, and “The Ancient Hebrew Law of Homicide”.
The present lectures have to do with labor problem as it presented itself in Biblical times.
The lectures will be presented by Dr. Solomon Solis Cohen at the Dropsie College on Sunday, Jan. 14. Tuesday, Jan. 16, Tuesday, Jan. 23, and Sunday, Feb. 4, 1923, at 8:30 PM.
