Funeral services were held here today for Jules Cohen, executive director of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Philadelphia and a nationally known figure in the field of intergroup relations. He died Monday after a short illness at the age of 59.
A native of this city, Mr. Cohen returned to direct the Council here after having served as a national coordinator for the National Community Relations Advisory Council. A lawyer by profession, he was active in the Conservative movement and in professional social work organizations. His home was in Jenkintown, Pa.
