Julio Nudler, an Argentine Jewish writer who combined his love for Judaism with his passion for tango, died of lung cancer July 29 at age 64. Nudler was author of “Jewish Tango: From the Ghetto to the Dance Hall,” an exhaustive study in Spanish of Jewish bandleaders, musicians, singers, dancers, songwriters and lyricists who contributed to popular music in Argentina.
