Julius Henry Cohen, New York counsel to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, has been named by Governor Roosevelt as one of the five members of the St. Lawrence Power Development Commission, whose duty it will be to investigate the development of State-produced power in the St. Lawrence River. The commission is headed by Professor Robert M. Haig of the School of Business of Columbia University.
Among the many famous legal cases in which Mr. Cohen has appeared as counsel, has been that of counsel for the Cloak, Suit and Skirt Manufactures’ Association in the strike of 1910 and for the Dress and Waist Manufacturers’ Assosulted in the “Protocols of Peace” in women’s wear industry. He is the author of “Law and Order in Industry,” “The Law, Business or Profession?” “An American Labor Policy” and “Commercial Arbitration and the Law.”
