The formation of the Junior Ort was announced Tuesday at the meeting of the Women’s Association of the American Ort, the Society for the promotion of agricultural and technical trades among the Jews of Eastern Europe.
The new group, headed by Mrs. Ruth Berke of Brooklyn, is composed of young men and women interested in the work the Ort is doing in rehabilitating destitute Jews abroad by providing technical training, machines and raw materials necessary to set them up in industry.
