Social work in settlement houses was the subject of an address by Mildred Gutwillig, head worker of the Recreation and Settlement Foundation, who spoke at a meeting of the Junior Federation of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies, held last night at Federation Building, 71 West Forty-seventh street.
In her address Miss Gutwillig said that about 142,000 families are receiving home relief from the city.
