The full cooperation of 350 YWHAs, YWHAs and Jewish community centers was pledged today by Frank Well, president of the National Jewish Welfare Board, to housing expediter Wilson Wyatt in the execution of the veterans emergency housing program.
In a letter to Mr. Wyatt, Mr. Weil called the housing program partial payment “to those who carried the burdens of the war,” and said that “a veteran, fully conscious of his country’s gratitude and acknowledgment for services rendered, means a more dynamic and progressive democracy.”
Weil and Henry Monsky, president of B’nai B’rith, have been elected to a Department of Justice advisory panel committee which will direct a national drive against juvenile delinquency, Attorney General Tom Clark announced yesterday.
