Rabbi Meir Kahane, leader of the Kach Party, was prevented from speaking at a rally last night in downtown Jerusalem by angry demonstrators. Hundreds of Jerusalemites, many of them members of the Labor youth movement, heckled the extremist leader as he tried to speak. After half an hour of this, Kahane was forced to leave. It was the second time this week that opponents of Kahane have broken up a rally at which he was to speak. On Monday night, a similar incident took place in Givatayim, a traditional stronghold of the Labor movement.
