Newspapers of Hesse must not publish notices about dead Jewish heroes, according to an article which appeared today in the Kurhessische Landeszeitung in Kassel.
The paper reprimands certain German newspapers in the district for republishing a funeral notice of sixty years ago about Noah Gans, who distinguished himself during the Franco-German War. The funeral notice described the high military honors the Jewish hero received at his funeral.
Nazi party authorities are urged by the Landeszeitung to take adequate measures against the newspapers.
