President Kennedy commended today the 119-year record of B’nai B’rith community services as “a positive constructive force for a good part of the history of our nation. “
The President’s tribute was contained in a letter to B’nai B’rith President Label Katz, in which the President also extended greetings to the B’nai B’rith triennial convention which will open here May 12 for five days.
Some 1,200 guests and delegates from 35 states as well as from Canada, Latin America. Great Britain, Ireland, Continental Europe and Israel are expected for the convention.
