Kevin Freeman, former news writer for radio stations in Boston, has joined the staff of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, it was announced by Martin Fox, president of the JTA. Freeman, 22, will work on the editorial staff as a general assignment reporter.
Freeman was formerly the Public Affairs director of WERS-FM, in Boston, Mass. where he produced daily public affairs broadcasts. With WERS-FM, Freeman served also as news announcer, producer, feature writer and reporter. He worked as a news writer/reporter for WBCN-FM in Boston in 1979. He holds a B.S. degree from Emerson College, Boston where he majored in mass communication.
Freeman is a lifelong resident of New York City and grew up in Belle Harbor, Queens. He lived for two years in Boston before returning to New York to work at the JTA. He has specialized in investigative and news analysis focusing on political and energy related issues involving Israel.
