King Ibn Saud of Saudi-Arabia has republished in his personal paper, Omel-Kura, the full text of his anti-Zionist statement which appeared in the American weekly magazine, Life, it was learned here today when a copy of the paper, dated June 11, reached Palestine.
On the occasion of the 75th birthday of Mr. Chaim Kalvarisky, who devoted over 40 years to fostering friendship between the Jewish and Arab populations of Palestine, a group of his friends have established a scholarship valued at $300 in his honor at the Hebrew University for the furtherance of Jewish-Arab cultural relations. A second scholarship of the same value was established by Dr. Werner senator in the name of his mother on the occasion of her 75th birthday.
One of the scholarships is to be awarded to a Jewish student of the Hebrew University for the study of Arab civilization at an Arab university in one of the neighboring countries, and the other to an Arab student to enable him to take up studies at the Hebrew University.
