No peace will prevail in the Middle East until the “Palestine people return to their homeland,” King Idris of Libya declared today in a speech from the throne, opening Parliament, it was reported today from Tripoli.
The King indicated Libyan foreign policy would continue to be dictated by the interests of Libya and the “Arab homeland.” His address indicated a strengthening of relations with the United Arab Republic.
The Arab boycott committee has tightened its economic campaign against Israel with the blacklisting of a number of firms presently dealing with Israel, it was reported here today. Among the blacklisted firms are 10 American, 24 Turkish and ten in various European countries.
