Kiryat Gat, Israel and Chicago marked the 60th anniversary of the Babi Yar massacre, in which Nazis and local collaborators in Ukraine killed tens of thousands of Jews. The State of Israel and the Jewish Agency for Israel also commemorated the slaughter with a ceremony at Jerusalem’s Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial.
