Secretary of State Henry A. Kissinger said today he “condemns this brutal and senseless slaughter of innocent civilians, particularly the murder of women and children, as we deplore all terrorist activity. In this instance this was particularly regrettable coming at a time when the processes of peace are already in motion.” State Department spokesman George Vest said “this attack underlies the urgent need for the Secretary’s continued efforts to persist in bringing peace to this region.”
