Dr. Henry Kissinger, President Nixon’s advisor on national security affairs, has contributed toward a grove of trees in the Judaean hills in memory of a boyhood schoolmate, Kurt Fleischman, the Jewish National Fund announced yesterday. The grove is being planted by former residents of Furth, Germany, where Kissinger and Fleischman were born. Fleischman, who died in England a year ago, reportedly planned to settle in Israel. He escaped from Germany during the Nazi era, joined the British Army and was seriously wounded during World War II.
