Klaus Goldschlag, a career diplomat, has been named Canada’s new ambassador to West Germany. He will leave Ottawa at the end of this month to take up his post. In the diplomatic service, Goldschlag has served in New Delhi, London, Vienna, Ankara and Rome. Goldschlag was born in Berlin in 1922 and came to Canada in 1937, a refugee from Nazi Germany.
