The Israel Parliament today passed a law granting to every Jew the right to immigrate to Israel and to automatically assume Israel citizenship as soon as he comes to the Jewish state to live. Premier David Ben Gurion termed the measure a “challenge to Jews all over the world to come to Israel.”
The Parliament also passed a law making the Speaker of the Knesset pro-tem head of the state during the President’s absence from Israel. President Weizmann is leaving for a European vacation next week-end.
