The Israel Parliament, before it recessed for Passover, passed a law advancing the sum of 17,000,000 pounds from the as-not-yet passed development budget for projects intended to cut unemployment.
The funds will be used for the immediate settlement of some 6,000 families from maarbarot and 2,000 families from urban areas. Speedy passage of the legislation will permit the beginning of work and the extension of loans to the families of the unemployed before the advent of Passover.
