Education Minister Ben Zion Dinur today introduced in the Knesset a bill to establish a Hebrew Language Academy consisting of outstanding experts on the Hebrew language.
The bill provides for their election for a life term to a body of between 15 and 23 members, with three members from abroad. The Academy’s rulings on Hebrew grammar would set standards for the schools, government offices and the army.
