Knesset to Be Asked to Cancel Israel-german Talks

A demand that the Israel Government cancel its reparations talks with Germany and recall its delegation from The Hague will be presented to the Israel Parliament by the Herut Party, it was announced here today. The announcement said that the Herut leaders approached the General Zionist and the Mapam parties to support their demand in the Parliament.

The Herut also announced today that it has decided to establish a World Anti-Contact League which will include non-Jews opposing any contact with Germany. The announcement said that a number of personalities in the United States and in France have expressed their readiness to join such a League. A world conference of the League will take place soon, the announcement said.

Several hundred persons participated in a Communist-sponsored demonstration here last night against Israel’s negotiations with Germany. The demonstration passed quietly.
