Kolenberg, the Jewish young man who slew General Slaschoff in revenge for his brother’s death at the hands of Slaschoff’s troops, has just been released from prison on bail, it became known here.

According to rumor, which is believed to be correct but could not be definitely verified, Kolenerg will not be definitely verified, Kolenerg will not be brought to trial for his act.

It is stated that the government is emarrassed and fears that the trial of Kolenberg might be a repetition of the Schwartzbard case and bring out the facts of General Slaschoff’s condoning anti-Jewish massacres by his troops while a commander in the White Army. This might place the Soviet government, which accepted General Slaschoff following his return to Russia, in an unpleasant situation.
