Twenty-five Anglo-Jewish communal leaders and their wives have been invited by the Rumanian Minister to a dinner tomorrow night at the Rumanian Legation in honor of Dr. Moses Rosen, Rumanian Chief Rabbi, and Mrs. Rosen, at which the catering will be kosher.
The JTA learned that catering will be under supervision of the Kashruth Commission of the Beth Din, believed to be the first time a Communist legation has provided a Kosher dinner in honor of Jewish guests.
The event will end Rabbi Rosen’s visit to England, the first ever made by a chief rabbi from an Iron Curtain country. During the two-week visit, Rabbi Rosen has inspected Anglo-Jewish institutions and organizations in London, Manchester and Glasgow.
