A museum will shortly be established in Kovno, former capital of Lithuania and now part of the USSR, to commemorate the 70,000 Jews and others murdered by the Nazis in the city, once a flourishing center of Jewish life and culture, it was reported here today.

The museum will house a collection of documents and photographs detailing the barbaric Nazi treatment of their victims, who now lie buried in mass graves, just outside the city.
