A new Ku Klux Klan group today announced a widespread recruiting drive to add 10 million “high type” members in 30 states. The announcement was made in Atlanta by Imperial Wizard H.J. Jones of Jonesboro, Ga.
Mr. Jones made known that as a result of a weekend conference of independent Klansmen from 17 southeastern and southwestern states, the groups consolidated under the new name, Knights of the KKK, Inc. Jones claimed that membership totals 42,000 and is mounting rapidly. Klan organizers are being dispatched to New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware, Jones announced.
