Kurt Blumenfeld, former president of the German Zionist Federation and holder of a Palestinian passport, was ordered expelled from Germany today. He left for Praha.
It could not be ascertained whether Dr. Blumenfeld, who is now head of the organization department of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, would be permitted to return to Germany. The Jewish Telegraphic Agency established that the German consulate in Palestine was directly responsible for the expulsion order and was consulted before its issuance.
German consular officials in Palestine have been instructed not to grant visas to Jews with Palestinian passports to come to the Reich, it was learned. The restriction is expected to hamper Jewish emigration work of the Zionist Organization since the majority of instructors who come here to train German Jews for settlement in the Holy Land are Palestinians.
