Maki, the pro-Israel Communist Party which was created ten years ago after splitting from the pro-Moscow Rakah, has decided to join with MK Meir Payil’s Techelet Adom Movement and form a new Moked faction to replace the present one that has a single Knesset seat. The new Moked Party will hold its constituent assembly within a few months. Meanwhile, former Maki leader Shmuel Mikunis, is trying to set up an opposition Communist Party and has called for a national assembly to be held next month,
