The British deportation ship Empire Heywood arrived at Famagusta, Cyprus, this morning with 620 visaless Jewish immigrants who arrived at Haifa Sunday on the two-masted schooner La Negev, it was reported here from Cyprus.
Disembarkation was begun immediately. The refugees will be sent to a temporary quarantine camp for 14 days, after which they will be transferred to other camps.
