At a conference of the Zionist-Socialist Party “Achduth Ha’avoda” recently held at Tel Aviv, resolutions for combatting unemployment were adopted. It was decided that if work is not provided for at least 300 workers in the very near future, the Labor representatives should resign from the Zionist Executive as a sign of protest. Another decision requires that all members of the General Jewish Labor Federation contribute a month’s salary to the fund for combatting unemployment. It was also decided to send a deputation to the Government to urge it to engage Jewish labor in its public works.
