The First National Conference of the League for Labor Palestine opened last night at the Hotel Pennsylvania.
Among the speakers were Rabbi Edward L. Israel of the Har Sinai Congregation of Baltimore; Rabbi Samuel Wohl of the Isaac M. Wise Temple of Cincinnati; David Pinski of the Poale Zion organization; Hayim Grecnberg, editor of the Yiddisher Kaempfer. Joseph Sprinzak, vice-president of the World Zionist Actions Committee; and Goldie Myerson, both members of the Palestine Labor delegation now visiting this country.
Professor Hayim Fineman of Temple University presided as chairman. He was introduced and the delegates were welcomed by Judah Wattenberg of the New York chapter of the League for Labor Palestine. Miss Rose N. Stoloff spoke in behalf of the Brooklyn chapter of the league. S. Dingol, city editor of The Day and a member of the national executive committee of the league, also spoke.
Palestinian songs were sung by Moshe Nathanson.
