Nearly 16,000 Zionists voted in yesterday’s election of delegates to the World Zionist Congress which opens in Lucerne, Switzerland, on August 20.
The Laborites’ list of candidates received 900 votes, it was announced today. The list of the General Zionists received 304 votes, and the Mizrachi list 385 votes.
The Jewish State Party in New York announced yesterday that its candidates to the next Zionist Congress will appear under election list number 5.
Among the candidates nominated as delegates by the Jewish State Party are Prof. Chaim Chernowitz, Dr. Pinchas Churgin, Rabbi Dinar, Rabbi Raphael Shochat and A. R. Malachi.
