Davar, the Histadrut daily, appeared today in a reduced size of eight pages instead of the usual 12 or 16 as a result of the slowdown strike by the newspaper’s employes in protest against a delay in wage payments. The employes held a long meeting yesterday during working hours, and thus there was not enough material by day’s end to fill a normal-sized issue. Davar was scheduled to return to its usual size tomorrow, pending payment of salaries today.
