A resolution calling upon the American Government not to provide Arab countries with arms was adopted here last night at the closing session of the national convention of the Farband-Labor Zionist Order, at which Meyer Brown and Louis Segal were re-elected president and general secretary of the organization, respectively.
The convention, attended by 400 delegates from the United States and Canada, also adopted a number of resolutions pledging support to Israel and to the Histadrut organization there. It condemned the American Council for Judaism for its anti-Zionist activities.
The delegates were addressed by Zalman Shazar and Baruch Zukerman, two Labor Zionist members of the Jewish Agency executive; Melech Noy, Israel leader of the Histadrut; Mendel Fischer, executive director of the Jewish National Fund, and others.
