Resolutions denouncing the British White Paper on Palestine as a “shameless attempt to disarm a people surrounded by brutal and vengeful enemies,” praising the decision of Palestine Jewry to support immigration and colonization under all circumstances, and thanking the American and British labor movements for supporting the protest against the new British policy were adopted last night at a meeting of the National Labor Committee for Palestine.
Isaac Hamlin, national secretary, reported that the committee’s Gewerkshaften campaign had raised $400,000 this year for support of Jewish workers in Palestine, an increase of $125,000 over last year. In addition, the sum of $200,000 was raised for the Palestine Labor Bank.
