The plebiscite set for February 24 to decide whether or not the Laborites in Palestine should ratify the recent agreement signed by their leader, David Ben-Gurion, and Vladimir Jabotinsky in London for peace in Zionist ranks, was postponed today for a month.
The executive of the Histadruth, the Jewish Labor party, in a statement to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency today, explains that the postponement is necessary to enable all members to register for participation in the plebiscite, so that the plebiscite represents the actual will of the entire Histadruth organization.
The decision to postpone the plebiscite was reached last night at a meeting of the Histadruth Executive.
