The misfortune which came to the home of Sir Herman Gollanez with the death by suicide of his son, Leonard, a week ago, remained to add to the grief of the aged rabbi and scholar. Lady Gollancz succumbed today to the stroke she suffered when she learned of her son’s untimely death.
Sir Herman, who is seventy-seven years old, is lying seriously ill in a hospital. His wife’s death is the third bereavement that has come to him in the last week. Several days ago his sister Emma died.
