A search of land titles has confirmed recent charges that racial covenants are still being signed in the transfer of properties in the Greater Vancouver area, the Jewish Community Council of this city has revealed.
The council called for a municipal by-law barring such covenants and for similar legislation on a provincial scale. The council also noted that the Vancouver land registrar considers such covenants as null and so marks every title in which he discovers them.
