Alexis Nihon, a Catholic businessman, has been honored by the Jewish community of Ville St. Laurent for his gift of land, valued at $40,000, for the construction of a synagogue there, it was reported in the “Bulletin du Cercle Juif” here.
M. Nihon, who emigrated to Montreal from Belgium, told the guests at the dinner which honored him that “the most important thing in life is ‘Love thy neighbor.”
