Laos has become the latest country to establish diplomatic ties with Israel.
In a ceremony here Monday, the Laotian ambassador to the United Nations, Alounkeo Kittikhoun, signed an agreement with his Israeli counterpart Gad Yaacobi.
The foreign minister of Laos plans to visit Israel early next year, and a delegation from Israel’s Foreign Ministry will travel to Laos to investigate joint cooperation.
Israel now has ties with 133 countries.
