Neville Laski, president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, arrived here to undertake a personal investigation of the Jewish economic position in Poland.

Trained Jewish observers have declared that Polish Jewry has been ruined economically. Approximately half the Warsaw Jewish population applied for Passover relief.

Norman Bentwich, former Attorney General of Palestine and member of the governing body of the League of Nations German refugee commission, recently termed the poverty of the Polish Jewish masses as “indescribable.”
