Thirty immigrants from Britain, who landed at Haifa late yesterday from the liner Herzl, composed the last group of settlers expected by Israel in 1959. The total for the calendar year was estimated today to be well over 24,000.

Among the new arrivals were a horticultural expert, a travelling salesman who wants to settle in a kibbutz and two non-Jewish coal-miners who served in mandated Palestine during the war and married Jewish girls. Both families will live in Eilat and both men have jobs to go to in the Timneh copper mines.
