The only Jewish newspaper published in the Ladino language, the Judeo-Spanish dialect spoken by Sephardi Jews in the Mediterranean area, has ceased publication here after it was first established 70 years ago. The paper, which had a circulation of some 10,000, was said to have closed down due to financial difficulties.
