An Israel patrol beat back a determined effort today by ten infiltrators from Jordan to penetrate Israel territory opposite Hebron. The Arabs, disguised as shepherds, crossed into Israel and attacked the patrol. After an hour’s pitched battle, the infiltrators withdrew. The patrol suffered no casualties.
