Representatives of the Jewish Agency, the Joint Distribution Committee, the Jewish National Fund and the United Service for New Americans met here today and decided to launch a joint fund-raising campaign in the United States in 1949.
The decision will be carried out only if the board of directors of the United Palestine Appeal, which is scheduled to meet tomorrow, rejects the compromise agreement adopted with regard to Henry Morgenthau’s leading the United Jewish Appeal campaign in 1949 with the same rights he enjoyed in previous drives.
