Mrs. Annie Friedman, who died at Saratoga Springs, N. Y., was buried yesterday from her home, 47 East Eighty-eighth street. Rabbis S. Soloweitchik, Morris Goldberg and Samuel Friedman, husband of the deceased, officiated at the funeral services. She was buried in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Mrs. Friedman became ill Friday and died Sunday of pneumonia. She was born fifty-nine years ago on the lower East Side. She was a member of an old rabbinical family, and devoted much of her time to Jewish religious and educational affairs after her marriage to Dr. Friedman. Among the organizations she took interest in were the Women’s Branch of the Yeshiva Oheb Torah, Yeshiva College, the Home of the Daughters of Israel and the Jacob Joseph School.
Surviving her are her husband, four sons, Leo S., Dr. Abraham, Moses and Joseph, and four daughters, Mrs. Helen Koenigsberg, Mrs. Mildred Eskolsky, Mrs. Leah Neustadter and Miss Naomi Friedman.
