Six persons were injured today when a bomb exploded on Allenby Road, the main thoroughfare in the center of the city. The area was cordoned off and the injured were taken to Hadassah Hospital just around the corner from the scene of the explosion. Three of the injured were released after being treated. The explosion at 6:45 p.m. took place a short distance from the open air Carmel market where a bomb exploded earlier in the day. There were no injuries in that incident because the market usually crowded with shoppers, was relatively deserted due to a heat wave.
