Late Bulletins on Austrian Situation Reich Promises “moderation”

Richard A. Butler, Foreign Undersecretary, told the House of Commons tonight Germany had assured Britain that Catholics, Jews and Socialists in Austria would be treated with as much moderation as possible. He informed the House that a protest had been lodged by Britain at Berlin demanding withdrawal of the German troops and clemency for the religious and opposition groups.
