An Israel Air Force pilot was killed this morning when two Air Force planes collided in mid-air over the Sharon plain. His name was not disclosed pending notification of next of kin. An Air Force announcement said the other airmen involved in the accident were safe. The Air Force commander has appointed a special commission to investigate the tragedy. The type of planes was not identified.
