Delegates from 12 countries are attending a Latin American B’nai B’rith convention which opened here today. The convention was addressed by Israel Minister Tuvia Arazi on Israel’s role in fostering Jewish life in the scattered Jewish communities of the Latin American countries.
Citing the Prado Doctrine calling on all Latin American countries to cooperate closely with Europe in the United Nations for the preservation of world peace and the survival of western civilization, the envoy said the doctrine, promulgated by the President of Peru, was warmly accepted in Israel.
