The prediction that Jewish communities in Latin American countries will play an important role after the war in helping to rebuild Jewish life in Europe was made here by Michael Traub, representative of the Keren Hayesod in Jerusalem, who has just returned to the United States after a visit to Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Chile and other countries on the American continent.
Speaking at a press luncheon, Mr. Traub said that the interest of the Jews of latin America in Zionism is constantly growing. He reported that he raised one million pesos for the Keren Hayesod during his trip. Jews from Latin American countries, after the war, will take an active part not only in the upbuilding of Palestine, but also in world Zionist leadership, he stated.
